BOOKS WORTH REDISCOVERING
A small, independent curated bookshop
BoekwinkelStip is what you might call a hobby that got slightly out of hand. We first learned the bookselling trade at the beginning of this century, working in the book department of De Bijenkorf – back when the department store was still one of Amsterdam’s largest booksellers.
Since then, BoekwinkelStip has grown into a small curated bookshop: an independent online bookshop with a personal and carefully selected collection of mainly second-hand and antiquarian books.
Here, literature sits alongside photography, art, architecture, design and cultural history. And then there are the books that are harder to categorise: an unusual edition, a forgotten title, a beautifully designed book, or simply something that made us curious.
Our collection does not follow a fixed buying plan. It grows with the books we come across and feel deserve a place in the shop. Books worth rediscovering.
Perhaps you arrived here looking for one particular title. If so, do have a look around. Because to us, a good bookshop is not just a place where you find what you were looking for, but also where you discover something you never knew you were looking for.
Don’t just search. Discover.
Perhaps one day we will open a cosy little bookshop somewhere, where book lovers can browse through stacks of books over a cup of coffee or tea and a slice of homemade apple pie. For now, you can find BoekwinkelStip online and at book fairs.
