In Cold Stones, renowned British land artist Richard Long invites readers into a world where art is not confined to galleries but created through walking, observing, and interacting with the earth itself. This beautifully produced hardcover book documents Long’s 2016 exhibition at CAC Málaga, featuring a rich collection of photographs, texts, and visual meditations that reflect his lifelong exploration of nature, space, and minimalism.
Combining conceptual art, landscape photography, and sculptural interventions, Cold Stones captures the essence of Long’s artistic philosophy: that a simple walk can become a profound creative act. The book includes essays by Fernando Francés and Javier Sánchez Martínez, offering critical insights into Long’s methods and the significance of his work in contemporary art.
Perfect for collectors, art enthusiasts, and readers interested in land art, environmental art, and site-specific installations, this volume is both a visual delight and a contemplative experience.
